OCAF is located at 34 School Street in Historic Watkinsville Georgia.
The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF)  is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that is not supported by tax dollars of any kind. All of our programs are open to the public regardless of what county they live in. OCAF members receive valuable discounts on classes, workshops and special events. Although membership is suggested it is not required.

SOUTHWORKS: 19TH ANNUAL NATIONAL  JURIED EXHIBIT & DIRECTORS CHOICE EXHIBIT

April 11 – May 9, 2014

The 2014 Southworks Juried Art Exhibition is a national juried art exhibition that OCAF has been holding for years. Since its inception, it has been one of the premier art exhibitions in the region. In addition, yhis year's Directors Choice exhibit showcases selected works by Ron Meyers and Rich Panico.

Summer Art Camp is designed and intended for children who have a keen interest in art and want to learn more about how to be creative. Emphasis will be for your child to learn different techniques and create one of a kind works of art that they will be proud to share and display Each 2 Week session includes one week in the pottery studio and one week in the painting & drawing studio.

Pinch-pots and Other Disruptive Technologies
A Clay Handbuilding Demonstration with  Instructor Rich Panico

One of Art's function is to help us "see" the necessity of abandoning beliefs and ways of being that no longer serve or have become harmful. What could be more retro and usefully insane than making pinch pots and using other disruptive hand building technique to playfully explore the world of clay. Join Rich for  an afternoon demonstration of building pinch pot birds, creatures and bottles.


Wheel Throwing for Beginners
with Louise Robertson & Phyllis Palmer

If you have ever wondered if you would enjoy the art of pottery, this is the class for you! This six-week intensive course for beginners will cover pottery basics and introduce you to the joy of throwing pottery on the wheel. Cups, bowls, saucers, and other utilitarian forms will be covered. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun!

Painting Flowers: Techniques & Exercises Workshop

Workshop is designed around demonstrations and exercises to help students learn the techniques utilized in the painting of flowers. Techniques can be done either in oils or acrylics. (For intermediate and advanced artists).
